Foam site models are often used for catalog photography, or to allow a customer to hold a replica of the finished part. Often we’ll texture and paint the part to resemble the finished product. Foams come in a variety of densities; material costs are usually proportional to the density of foam. Higher density foams are stronger and less porous, the lower density parts are cheaper and machine much faster.

We have been serving the fiberglass and composites industry for many years as a supplier of tooling models and fixtures. Our tool designers can quickly convert sketches, 2D drawings, or 3D Cad data into tooling data with parting-lines, run-off, and inserts for the many processes used in the fiberglass and composites industry. We work with a variety of materials and techniques to achieve a cost-effective approach to the customer’s requirements.
We also produce fixed and removable inserts where it is effective to allow for the molding of undercuts or to reduce damage and wear. We also supply production fixtures to assist in the accurate placement of components on the molded parts. It can be very efficient from a timing and cost perspective to handle this with the initial tool design.

Tooling models for the rotational mold industry can be produced in a variety of materials, depending on the foundry to be used and the finish requirements. We have built models from pine, Jelutong, rigid urethane foam board, and urethane tooling board. Our designers routinely develop the CAD data for the parts by working with inventors, designers, and end-users. We also CNC machine molds from aluminum billet and aluminum plate for the highest level of accuracy.
